Are you a class teacher with a passion for supporting pupils who are neurodiverse and/or who have suffered adverse childhood experiences? Are you interested in how biology affects behaviour? Are you nurturing, understanding and resilient?

Teachers who work at Fern House gain skills for life which often fast track them into leadership. We are looking for a resilient, hard-working individual who is committed to self-reflection, understanding mental health and teaching neurodiverse children. This is by no means an easy role and it does not suit everyone, but those who are successful will benefit from being part of a highly skilled, supportive team of like-minded individuals who will take the time to both support and celebrate you!

Fern House School is a special school for pupils aged 5 – 16. We promote and adopt approaches based on attachment theories and neurobiological research to provide our pupils with a supportive framework, which allows them to be heard and understood safely. Our highly adapted curriculum ensures that all pupils can engage in learning and achieve something to feel proud of.

We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider society that we serve. We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice. We champion diversity, inclusion and well-being and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging.
