About Us

I am very proud to lead the Enfield Learning Trust which was set up in 2016. I have been a Headteacher for nineteen years leading Bowes through three outstanding Ofsted inspections. I have also been a National Leader in Education (NLE) for over ten years and have supported many schools who, for whatever reason, are experiencing some challenges.

The trust was convened to build on the excellent partnership already established across the three founder schools and to open the door to other schools who share our passion to make a difference to the lives of young people and believe that this happens when there is effective collaboration between schools.

We have a motto across our trust ‘be included’ which describes our ethos and vision. We believe that we must strive to remove any barriers to learning so that every young person regardless of their start can be successful, happy and leave us equipped for the next stage in their life.

The Enfield Learning Trust is innovative and draws upon the best practice from local, national and global research. We recognise that our schools all serve their own communities and are unique but we also insist that our schools follow trust ways of working which ensure that there are high expectations and equality of opportunity for all our pupils.

Currently the Enfield Learning Trust consists of the following six schools:

Bowes Primary School – 5 form entry national teaching school

Carterhatch Junior School - 3 form entry

Chesterfield Primary School – 4 form entry

Delta Primary School - 1 form entry

Fern House School – an all through special school

Grange Park Primary School – 4 form entry

Hazelbury Primary School – 5 form entry

We pride ourselves on growing our own staff teams who have the opportunity to work in exciting, well-organised and vibrant environments. We offer high quality support and training to ensure career progression for all staff. Leaders and teachers are helped to develop through our positive teaching school relationships. Staff are encouraged to collaborate with staff in their own school but across the trust and beyond. Through this collaboration we improve our practice and everyone moves forward together.

If you would be interested in visiting any of our schools please contact the school directly. You will receive a very warm welcome.
