Do you want to make a difference in changing children’s life chances in an area of high deprivation? Do you have the skills and abilities of supporting children with social and emotional needs?  Do you want to work in a school that is vibrant and dynamic where we have shared values?

If so then Chesterfield Primary School is the place for you.

Chesterfield Primary School is looking for enthusiastic, inspirational individuals, who enjoy working as part of a dedicated team and want to develop their skills in a school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who want to gain experience in order to progress towards a teaching career.

Chesterfield Primary School is part of the Enfield Teaching School Alliance, which runs the school direct scheme, a great route into teaching. We are able to provide quality training and development for staff and as we are a large school, we are able to offer significant opportunities for professional development.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the class teacher working with the whole class or smaller groups to ensure all children reach their full potential. The ideal candidates must be flexible (as every day is different), adaptable and very hard working. You will need to be a well organised person who can work independently and as part of a team and have the skills to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

Children at Chesterfield are engaged with a creative curriculum, which encourages pupil voice. We have embedded values that ensure resilience and independence and we aim to build valuable learning skills for life.

We understand how important it is for staff and children to have access to modern technology, which is why we are a resourced Apple school. All members of staff are provided with iPads to enhance learning.
